We are glad to inform you that LEXSHIP has expanded their Standard Shipping solution “Ship Direct” to 226 lanes. The serviceability of the solution starts from 250 gm with a committed delivery timeline of 8 to 10 working days and a liability coverage of 100 USD. 

Also, as part of the annual price revision, LEXSHIP has revised prices which will be effective from 18^th February 2024. To understand the impact, we’re providing a summary of the rate increase below: 

• In Ship Direct service, 
  • There is no price change in UK across all the weight slabs.
  • For USA, 
    • There is a price increase among weight slabs from 3 kg to 11 kg by 5% on average.
    • For weight slabs greater than 11kg, they have decreased their pricing by approximately 57% on average.
• Coming to their LEXSHIP Ship+ prices, 
  • There is no price change in UK, France, Italy and Spain for weight slabs less than 500 gm.
  • In the remaining weight slabs of these countries and other countries, they have increased their pricing by an average of 6% barring few slabs in certain lanes.

We are glad to inform you that as part of the annual price revision Fedex has proposed a price reduction for EGS users in F (UK & EU) and G (US) zones.

However, we observed a price increase in other zones (AU, CA, e.t.c.). The revised prices will be effective from 10th February 2024. To understand the impact, we’re providing a summary of the rate increase below.:

• For weight slabs < 10kg, we have observed a price decrease of 2.3% in US lane and EU lanes.

• For weight slabs > 10kg, we have observed a price decrease of ~37% in US lane and ~62% in EU lane.

• However, in zones other than F and G, the price is going to be increased by an average of ~96%. The higher price increase in these zones is because this pricing was mostly unchanged since 2021.

• In addition to the price reduction, Fedex has also proposed a discount on surcharges.

  • The Tier 1 surcharges are reduced from existing ~INR 280 to ~ INR 60

  • The Tier 2 surcharges are reduced from existing ~INR 750 to ~ INR 330

  • The Tier 3 surcharges are reduced from existing ~INR 1070 to ~INR 430

  • Additional Handling Surcharges are discounted from ~INR 2370 to ~ INR 1185

• Fedex is also providing same rates to Fedex packaging which is there on customer own packaging.

This is to inform you that we have observed an issue with respect to tracking updates of LEXSHIP shipments on ebay. Due to this few of LEXSHIP shipments were being marked as “Delivered” when in actual the shipments were delivered only to LEXSHIP India Hub. We believe the impact should be limited to shipments that are picked up between Jan 14^th and Jan 21^st.

To benefit eBay users, this issue has been subsequently resolved and the said update rolled back.

This will help all the shipments that will be booked in future. However, for the shipments that have been impacted till now, we suggest you follow below steps:

1. Please monitor the tracking updates visible to your buyers against the orders that are fulfilled by LEXSHIP shipments.
2. Please cross check the same with the tracking updates available on LEXSHIP website.
3. In case there is mismatch, kindly update your buyer proactively regarding the difference to reduce any INR issues that might arise.
4. In case if INR issue is already raised, kindly communicate the buyer regarding the issue and resolve the same to avoid CCWSR.

All the products with HSN codes that are staring with “7117” can now be sent through DHL Express service on EGS. As now, the jewelry products with HSN codes starting with “7113” are not allowed through the service.

The data points which are required (mentioned below) for the customs clearance of these shipments are being fulfilled in the backend through system integration and is being shared with DHL. No further data or additional documentation needs to be provided by sellers during shipment booking or shipment handover.

The rates and SLAs applicable for these shipments will be same as the prices available against “DHL Express Priority” service present on EGS platform. This is to inform you that as part of annual price revision UPS has proposed a price revision effective 1^st January2024. This is applicable to their “Express Saver” shipping service. To understand the impact, we’re providing a summary of the rate increase below.

• Overall base freight increased by 7% to USA, UK, DE and other EU locations being served by UPS.

• While base freights are increased, UPS is providing EGS users with the waiver on their surcharges like:

  • 100% waiver on Remote Area Surcharge, Extended Area Surcharge – Delivery, Delivery Area Surcharge - Delivery (US only)

  • 100% waiver on Address Correction charges

  • 100% waiver on Duty/Tax Forwarding Surcharges and Delivered Duty Paid, V.A.T Unpaid (DDP) Surcharges

  • High value cargo Export customs clearance charge is fixed at INR 1100 per shipment

  • 100% waiver on Residential Delivery Surcharge which were incurring on 65% of UPS shipments

For example, if your shipment was destined to USA, for a shipment that weights 1000 gm, the base freight at present is coming to INR 1773. However, if incurred a residential delivery area surcharge total freight would be coming to ~ INR 2063.Going forward combined with the waiver of surcharges and price increase, the total price would be ~ INR 1897 (7% over 1773) which is lesser than earlier price by ~8%

We are glad to inform you that effective May 4^th, they have revised their UK GPX rates further downwards for eGS users. To keep you prompted, in similar lines, they have revised their EPX rates downwards for USA and Germany lanes in previous months.

• Effective May 4^th, 2023, the starting price for UK lane under GPX service is INR 272 for 50 gm weight slab and INR 536 for 1000 gm weight slab.

• Effective April 14^th, 2023, the starting price for Germany lane under EPX service is INR 417 for 50 gm weight slab and INR 743 for 1000 gm weight slab.

• Effective Feb 15^th, 2023, the starting price for USA lane under EPX service is INR 400 for 50 gm weight slab and INR 1285 for 1000 gm weight slab.

On April 1, 2023, Chile’s Ministry of Finance published a decree updating certain tariff value thresholds, including the value-added tax (VAT) and customs duty de minimis value from 30USD Free on Board (FOB) to 41USDFOB. The modification follows a local requirement to periodically update tariff value thresholds that are more susceptible to inflation.   

WHAT IS CHANGING? 

General Norm CVE 2294382 updated the value of the tariff headings 00.09, 00.23, and 00.26 as required by Law 20997 which indicates that every 60 months, the value of the previously mentioned tariff headings shall be updated based on the Index of Wholesale Prices for United States. The period considered for the current update was November 1, 2017, to October 31, 2022.

As a result, tariff heading 00.23, which establishes the threshold value for de minimis shipments, increased from 30USD FOB to 41USDFOB.

The new Chile de minimis threshold value of 41USD FOB became effective April 1, 2023.

Please be noted, effective March 23rd, there would be a small change in Pickup creation process of Shypmax.

From Thursday, just like Fedex, once the Shypmax shipment booking process is completed for the day - To generate a pickup, users need to create a consolidated pickup (manifest) through the “Pickup Request” tab that will be provided.

With the help of filters provided, sellers can select all the shipments against which the pickup needs to be scheduled. Before 12:00 PM, the pickup can only be scheduled for the same day. Post that i.e., after 12 PM every day the pickup can only be scheduled for the next day.

Post completion of pickup creation, you will get an option to download the manifest document from EGS platform. Kindly download the same to hand over it during the pickup.

In case of any Pickup cancellation, a Pickup History/Reschedule Tab will be provided where seller can cancel the pickup at AWB level or pickup id level or download the manifest. Once the pickup is cancelled the order will be reflecting again in “Pickup Request” tab through which sellers create another pickup request for the order.
